This magnificent
creation is one of the last four-seater Ferraris
powered by the Colombo V12, the most prestigious
engine in the entire history of motoring. At the
beginning, the 365 GT4 2+2 appeared at the 1972
Paris Motor Show, it was a sensation, a classically
elegant styling reference and under the bonnet, the
magnificent V12 engine taken directly from the
legendary GTB/4 Daytona. Then the 400 series were
developed, and finally the 412s, the final proposal. |
|
The miracle is the presence of
this legendary mechanism in a family saloon, even
today, forty-five years late, perfectly versatile
and bringing joy to everyday life. |

ENZO WAS AT THE HELM : THE FERRARIS FROM THAT
ERA ARE, OF COURSE, IN A CLASS OF THEIR OWN.
|
Only 422 units of the 400 I
were fitted with a manual gearbox, it is therefore a
very rare model that combines the convenience of
fuel injection with the pleasure of a manual gearbox.
Its magnificent colour scheme, original, adds a
significant interest to this specimen. |
|
The 2+2 models are in a class of their own at
Ferrari, the idea, which originated in the very
early 1960s, to offer for family or everyday use,
the essence of the legendary racing cars that have
made their mark on racetracks all over the world... |
|
Of great historical interest, these models represent
an increasingly relevant choice, at a time when
driving pleasure is becoming predominant, the V12 is
to be savoured, when, unfortunately, extreme
performances are more difficult to operate. |

|
The steering is power-assisted,
the windows are electrically operated, the interior
is spacious and bright, four adults can be
accommodated, the boot is generous.
Those that had been somewhat forgotten a few years
ago are now highly sought after.
Times have changed, the trend has clearly shifted,
rightly so. The very philosophy of this model allows
to enjoy the mechanical magic and elegance of this
Ferrari Classiche, to gain access to the dream
territory for all car enthusiasts, without any
restrictions. |
OF ALL THE CLASSIC FERRARIS, THE V12s ARE THE QUEENS
|
This unit is in exceptional
condition, bodywork, interior, and an inspection on
a deck reveals that it has undergone a general
refurbishment, and an inspection on a deck reveals
that it has undergone a general refurbishment,
apparently carried out a few years ago, but not many
kilometres must have been travelled since then. The
exhaust pipes are made of stainless steel. We had a service carried
out, which included replacing the clutch, the
flywheel, the starter motor and the battery, as well
as an adjustment to
the geometry of running gear. |
