The 365 GT4 2+2 made its debut at the 1972 Paris Motor Show, causing a sensation, an innovative design, masterful proportions, under the bonnet, the magnificent 4.4-litre V12, taken directly from the legendary GTB/4 Daytona. The 412 is the perfected and definitive version.

The art of achieving the right proportions, shapes and lines, which, once drawn, will stand the test of time, is a quest for the absolute. Leonardo Fioravanti, who was working for Pinin Farina at the time, was the greatest master of this art.

What if this ultimate Ferrari Classique, in its final incarnation, at the peak of its power, and comfort and offering the smoothness of its automatic gearbox, were in fact forty years ahead of its time...

The 412, a city or touring Coupe, the result of a unique alchemy, takes on a new dimension today in this configuration.   

 The 2+2 models, are in a class of their own at Ferrari, the idea, which originated in the very early 1960s, was to offer, for family or everyday use, the essence of the legendary racing cars that have distinguished themselves on racetracks all over the world...

 And yes, there is a very rare classic Ferrari that combines the final evolution of the legendary "Colombo" V12 with an automatic gearbox, and this luxurious spaceship takes you, unflappable, into a whole new dimension.

Les Ferrari 412s are rare, a total of 576 were built, of which only 245 were fitted with an automatic gearbox and left-hand drive. This beautifully preserved model was delivered new to France in 1987 by Ets. Pozzi in a particularly elegant colour scheme,  metallic silver, dark blue leather and matching carpets. Its first owner parted with it only twenty-eight years later ; it subsequently had just three other owners ; its odometer reads just over 61,000 km....

 In practice, the automatic gearbox is well worth discovering and appreciating ; it’s clearly smooth and comfortable in town, and proves perfectly suited to long-distance journeys ; and, of course, provided you know how to use it, there’s nothing to stop you from enjoying the unique bursts of power from the wonderful V12.

If the 412s were somewhat neglected a few years ago, this is no longer the case. Times have changed and we can see that the trend has clearly shifted, and rightly so.
